Located on the banks of Sabarmati, this ashram was once home to Mahatma Gandhi and an important landmark in the Indian independence movement. Now a national monument, the ashrams still preserves Mahatma Gandhi’s humble lodging, Hriday Kunj, as it was during his lifetime. The complex also houses a museum, library, and a photo gallery exhibiting memorabilia connected to Mahatma Gandhi- father of the nation.
Built-in 1423 by Ahmed Shah I, this yellow sandstone structure with a marbled courtyard, is an architectural & sculptural marvel. Located in the heritage walled city, this beautiful mosque is much known for its slender pillars embellished with beautiful calligraphy in Arabic.
Much known for the delicate filigree work in its windows, this 16th-century mosque is certainly a work of art. A delicate filigree work executed on one of its walls, depicting a gorgeous 16 feet tree of life, has now become the unofficial icon of this gorgeous heritage city.
Located on the outskirts of the city, this stepwell is a labyrinth of ornately carved steps and columns cascading five stories to form a spectacular stepwell. Try to visit it in the latter part of the morning when the sun rays reach the lowest shaft, lighting up the whole structure.
This beautiful Jain temple was built by an affluent merchant in the mid 19th century. Its gorgeous domes supported by ornate pillars, exquisitely carved spires, sprawling courtyard, and finely carved brackets & columns reflect the grand vision of its architect and the brilliant craftsmanship of the artisans who created this marvelous edifice.

The city is much known for its yummy snacks like dhokla, thepla, khakhra, sev-puri, dal-vada, and also its delicious Gujarati Thali with its slightly sweet delicacies that are sure to tickle your taste buds.

Just come back from an amazing 2 week trip to India. First we done the golden triangle which we chose to do the train trip from Delhi to Agra a must you have to do if not just for the experience. All the cities were wonderful. In mumbia we done a city tour and ended our trip in the taj for afternoon tea another must. They really looked after us thank you all.
